A Linear Feedthrough or Linear Translator is an equipment for sample handling in physical laboratories in vacuum. It allows movement in a vacuum chamber, controlled from atmosphere side. Vacuum chamber need to be leak tight, nevertheless in the inside are movements necessary.
The proposed Linear Feedthrough consist of the linear guide assy, an actuator, the base flange which connects to the chamber, the movable flange and the edge welded bellows.
The movable flange connects the inner mechanical and electrical equipment which controls the sample. This can be a closed rotary feedthrough where you can attach your sample holder at the lower end, an open rotary feedthrough where you can insert your equipment or our cryostat which can cool sample to 10K.
Linear Feedthroughs are a kind of bridge between atmosphere and vacuum.
Positioning of a sample in your vacuum chamber.
A detector shall be positioned in a precise distance.
A sample shall be transferred from a one chamber into another.
A spectrometer or Langmuir sensor shall guided into the chamber to measure plasma conditions. |
